In order to keep things running smoothly at Endgames we’re going to start offering paid work to Stage Managers. Our schedule is hectic (sixteen shows a week, not counting student performances), but that’s how we fulfill our mission of providing the most stage time to improvisers in the Bay Area. Having our producers responsible for everything has kept the theater humming so far… but it … Read the rest
Nick Armstrong, camp director and founder of legendary Camp Improv Utopia is coming to San Francisco. Nick’s work in the improv community has been far reaching and powerful for improvisers all over the United States and abroad. His camp is one improv’s greatest experiences, a camp for grown ups with locations in California and Pennsylvania. Endgames improvisers have been going since the very beginning, and Nick is a friend of … Read the rest
We’re expanding in a new direction! It’s no secret we’re excited about Endgames doing more. More opportunity for more performers, and artists is always on our minds, whether they come from inside our community, or just want to meet up and be a part of it. Endgames is growing! Over six months since we started putting on shows six nights a week. We’ve seen everything from the weird to the sublime. We’ve played to packed houses at 10pm on a Tuesday, and done shows for a handful of dedicated improv fans. Classes are going like crazy, from helping experienced improvisers hone their craft, to revealing the fun of improv to new friends every week.
When Endgames opened up submissions for new shows back in January, we had to sit back and just stare in awe at the crazy ideas growing in our improv scene… Though, honestly, none of them was as interesting as The People’s non-Binding Arbitration. Don’t take our word for it. Watch their new promo spot!
Or hear it in Dwayne McDaniel’s own words:
